Abbey Road
West Bridgford
Alconex were awarded the contract by Peveril Homes to design, install and commission the Electric Infrastructure and Streetlighting connections for their residential development at Abbey Road, West Bridgford for 50 plots and 18 Apartments.
The development seamlessly incorporates a range of cutting-edge technologies and systems, such as air source heat pumps, solar photovoltaics, electric vehicle charging, and a smart home system.
Works commenced in 2021 and are due to be completed in 2026.
Scope of Work
Alconex secured the site load from Distribution Network Operator and as a fully accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP), we have handled the entire design, installation and commissioning works with the site subsequently adopted and maintained by a trusted Independent Network Operator (IDNO).
Temporary electric supplies were obtained by Alconex from the existing network operators to allow the early opening of the Show Homes and site compound.
Alconex installed and commissioned a new 500kVA iDNO substation which was energised within the timescales provided by the developer to achieve their first legal completions.
HV diversions were required to facilitate the new site entrance. Alconex worked in collaboration with the Highways and Groundworkers to ensure the works were completed within the timescales provided and minimal disruption was caused.
