With experience across multi discipline design, Construction & Infrastructure in various sectors, Kate brings a broad and adaptable perspective to commercial leadership. Her background includes time as an Operations Director, giving her first-hand insight into site delivery and the challenges faced by operational teams. This blend of commercial and operational experience supports a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach, focused on doing the right thing while understanding real-world constraints. Outside of work, she recently spent 12 months travelling the world with her husband, gaining new perspective and renewed energy that she brings back into her role.

I lead the expansion of Alconex’s operations across the South, driving growth initiatives in emerging sectors including data centres, fibre networks, heat networks, and energy generation and storage.

A prime example, combined in a single site is Welborne Garden Village —a 1,000‑acre, 6,000‑home new community in Fareham featuring 53 acres of commercial space, a site‑wide fibre network, a new 132kV substation, a water‑sourced heat network, and outline plans to include an EV charging hub, an EDGE data centre and renewable energy generation.

Alconex is the primary ICP delivering all associated connection works, a role that places us at the centre of the site’s energy and infrastructure delivery strategy.

My role is overseeing large-scale residential and industrial/commercial utility schemes for gas, water, and electric in the North East area. I coordinate complex projects, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-conscious delivery. My background in mechanical and electrical installation especially in semiconductors, hospitals, and industrial settings which gives me a strong technical foundation. Outside work, I’m a keen golfer and an enthusiastic baker, always learning and enjoying the balance they bring.

Not many people know (NOT) that I’m an outrageous dresser out of work.

My role is to drive Alconex’s growth in residential schemes by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, collaborating with internal teams and expanding the company’s market presence. Fueled by my passion for travel, I love adding new dots to the map. My favourite place in the world is Bali, so far!

I’m the BBQ hero of office events, the hostess with the mostess when the girls come over and someone who considers getting lost on hiking trails just part of the adventure!

My strength has always been able to lead from the front while staying approachable, believing success comes from teamwork, preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. With over 30 years in senior utilities management, my focus has always been team first, myself second. Away from work, I’ve supported Newcastle United for over 55 years — a lifelong passion that’s a true roller coaster, felt deeply by those who have black and white in their blood.

I used to be an owner operator of an oncourse bookmaking business with over 55 pitches in the north of England for over thirty years.

I am Alconex’s Design Team Leader focused on multi utility design for residential developments. I’m passionate about improving workflows with smart tools and enjoy leading projects that make a real difference! Outside of work, you’ll find me doing anything that gets the adrenaline pumping like rock climbing, track days and most recently, skydiving for charity!

I build and fix computers for friends and family (or just about anyone that asks) – basically I’m their personal IT department!

As Planning Manager, my role is to keep the wheels of the business turning by coordinating various planning projects across multiple teams nationwide. Whether it’s meeting key dates or keeping projects on track, I’m here to ensure everything runs smoothly, whilst keeping everyone smiling along the way.

When I’m not moonlighting as a part-time rock star in a local band, you’ll probably find me wild camping around Scotland’s mountains and lochs, rain, wind, or snow, I’m there!

I work in close collaboration with Business Development Managers to produce gas, water, and electric designs for new residential developments. This includes assessing network capacity and load calculations, ensuring all designs meet regulatory and adoption standards. I absolutely love planning adventures and travelling to new destinations with my family — there’s nothing better than creating unforgettable memories together!

I’m the one in my friend group for always ending up on the karaoke.

I’m lucky enough to lead Alconex’s brilliant Pre-Construction team, which brings together our Pre-Construction Coordination Team (PCCT), Design and Estimating teams.

Basically, if it needs sorting before the first shovel hits the ground, we’re on it. We work with developers and I&C clients across the UK to get sites signed off, designs approved, costs understood, land rights in place, and everything lined up neatly before we hand things over to our Operations teams to build the magic.

Think of us as the people making sure the “chaos behind the scenes” looks effortless.

I’m a full-time cheese enthusiast, proud owner of a miniature sausage dog, and I once appeared as an extra in Cold Feet — it’s very much a “blink and you’ll miss me” moment. I love live music and I’m always up for a good gig, festival, or anything involving a muddy field and a great playlist.

As BDM for Yorkshire, I’m passionate about building strong relationships with clients and developers to deliver projects built on trust and collaboration. Having previously worked for national housebuilders, I understand the development process and commercial priorities, creating partnerships that add value and keep projects moving efficiently from planning to completion.

I love renovating properties and sharing before-and-after shots on Instagram. If I’m not holding a drill, I’m in my wellies with the kids on a muddy adventure!

In my role, I focus on building strong relationships with clients, creating new opportunities and helping Alconex continue to grow across the North East region. I enjoy working with developers to understand their schemes and making sure we deliver a great service. Outside of work, I love to go on long walks with my energetic border collie, Pippa.

As Area Manager for Yorkshire and the Midlands, I oversee project management across regional utility infrastructure schemes, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard. I focus on maintaining strong client relationships while driving operational success.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel and motorcycles and will be competing in the Pangea Rally in South Africa, raising money for charity.

I am Alconex’s CFO, not just an accountant but some one who has been lucky enough to work leading a number of SME and private equity backed businesses, developing them, nurturing them and getting the very best out their fantastic offerings through their teams. After qualifying, I completed 100+ transactions across 25+ countries before moving into investing and leading SMEs, each with unique growth journeys. At Alconex, I focus on shaping and supporting our vision through strong systems, processes, and empowering people. Every day brings change and I thrive on it.

Secrets out, I’m also a Christmas tree farmer. In my spare time I plant and nurture new trees, with the finished ones gifted to friends who sponsor me on milestone birthdays – all part of a charity challenge close to my heart.

Me in a nutshell – With 12 years of experience in the multi utility sector, I specialise in building strong, long-term client relationships while identifying and securing new project opportunities. Away from work, I like to follow Stoke City home & away up and down the country.

My hobby is to travel as much as possible! My aim is to visit every country in the world!

My purpose is to continue our growth in renewable energy and major schemes. I’m an experienced Business Development Manager with a passion for partnering with my customers to find the best solution for their connections and supporting them throughout the lifecycle of their projects.
