Staindrop
Homes by Carlton are constructing a collection of 48 luxury three to five bedroom homes in the sought-after village of Staindrop in County Durham.
The development includes a mix of detached and semi-detached family homes which feature modern open-plan living spaces, bespoke designer kitchens and bathrooms, landscaped front and rear gardens and much more, all of which is sure to be of the highest quality.
Scope of Work
Alconex were awarded the design and installation of multi utility infrastructure on this scheme in May of 2024.
To find the best electric solution for the development, we were required to work closely with the DNO, Northern Powergrid. It was important that we timed our applications in line with diversion works in the area. This allowed a transformer upgrade to be completed, which made an LV point of connection available adjacent to the site entrance.
Alongside resolving the electric connection, we secured connection points and progressed designs for the new gas and water networks.
The approvals are currently progressing and on track for house completions in 2025.
